We have vacancies for TESOL or CELTA-qualified EFL Teachers to deliver our exciting new programme to inbound guests travelling to PGL centres in the UK from overseas.
PGL is the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people. Growing rapidly since 1957, we now offer watersports, outdoor activity, field studies and French language immersion courses at 28 locations across the UK, France and Spain. We’re excited to launch our dynamic new English as a Foreign Language product for the 2012 season.
We have vacancies for enthusiastic TESOL or CELTA-qualified EFL Teachers to deliver this innovative new programme to our inbound guests travelling to PGL centres from Europe, Asia and various long haul destinations.
Our EFL Teachers will lead sessions focusing on the basic language skills of speaking, listening, writing, reading and grammar in a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable experience.
This role offers a real opportunity to enhance your EFL Teacher skills, with an emphasis on supporting your group to learn in a fun, informative and interesting environment. You’ll also be responsible for keeping accurate records of your groups’ progress and maintain class discipline as well as acting as the point of contact for visiting Party Leaders accompanying their group.
Two contract options are available: you can choose to work for 4 weeks or 8 weeks however preference will be given to applicants who can work for the full 8 week period. Contract dates run from early July 1 until the end of August 2012.
The staff package for EFL Teachers is offered at £1,280 per 4 weeks, before tax and NI. You will also receive free accommodation/utility bills and meals for the duration of your contract. If you prefer to live locally and commute in each day, please select the ‘live off site’ option on our online application form. Locations are: Windmill Hill, near Hailsham, East Sussex; Tilford, near Hindhead in Surrey; Baschurch, near Shrewsbury and Dunkeld in Perthshire.
This role is based on a 35 hour working week, over 5 days. Some weekend working will be required.

We’re looking for native English speakers holding their TESOL or CELTA qualification. Ideally you will be a university graduate and already have previous experience of working as an EFL Teacher either in the UK or overseas.
Experience of working or volunteering with young people would give your application an advantage. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate previous experience of delivering sessions in a classroom-style setting.
