China, Beijing and Kunming
First Decision is looking for a number of well qualified English Language Teachers for Elementary and Pre-School positions in three of its schools. We also need a support teacher to cover pre-school and elementary schools in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
First Decision is a growing company offering a unique educational service to Chinese students. Our schools, which run from pre-school to high school, currently in two cities, offer the standard Chinese curriculum alongside an English Language syllabus. Since we are expanding, we are often looking for well-qualified English Language teachers to work with us.
The English language teachers should hold a degree (preferably in something relevant!) and a CELTA or Cert TESOL (or exact equivalent). These teachers may be interested in Pre-School or Elementary age groups but in either case they will be flexible and motivated.
We also need a Support Teacher for our Kunming schools. This position would suit a person with a degree but not necessarily fully qualified as a teacher as we’ll be offering a good deal of support. The position is one which requires a high degree of flexibility and confidence since you will be covering teachers in their absence and might therefore be teaching 3 year olds in the morning and 12 year olds in the afternoon! This is a challenging post but will offer the successful applicant a real chance to learn about teaching and learning language in situ.
The Support Teacher may be able to take part in our own Cert TESOL course after 12 months’ service and so, would have experience plus a qualification.

You need not be a native English speaker but you will have evidence of near native competency. You don't need experience of teaching but you must be interested and ready to engage with children and colleagues. To obtain an appropriate visa in China you must have a degree or a professional qualification. You must also be at least 25 and under 60 to obtain a visa to work here. Preference will be given to CELTA and equivalent graduates. Please don't apply if you are not qualified. Some nationalities experience difficulty in acquiring a 'z' visa and we will do our best to advise you if you are in that category.
