Details:
Start of contract: October 2006
End of contract: mid June 2007 possible extensions to June 2008

Teaching Load:
14 to 24 80-minute classes per week, Mon-Fri or Mon-Sat

Holidays:
2-3 weeks of winter holidays (January or February), and several days of national or religious holidays (Easter 13.04.06-17.04.06, and May 01-03.05.06)

Teacher Facilities:
Free access to photocopiers, teaching materials, library, video and audio facilities, and computer and free internet access.

Class Information:
Maximum fifteen students per class, from Beginner to Proficiency level.
Adult classes, usually aged 17-30.

Expected Teacher Profile:
Profi-Lingua's teachers are expected to be experienced, innovative, hard-working and responsive to the needs of their students.

Qualifications:
Minimum BA in arts/humanities subject.
TEFL, CELTA, DELTA or similar preferred.
Experience: 1 year +

Compensation:
Remuneration: Average monthly 2500-6000 PLN (Polish zloty) net (c.420-1000GBP /
c. 850-1760USD) depending on number of classes and branch.

[Average monthly rent: 1000-1900 PLN (c. 160-320GBP / c. 295-560USD) depending on location. Average monthly food bills:
400-500 PLN (c. 65-85GBP / c. 120-150USD).
Average domestic bills:
100-300 Zlotys (c. 17-50GBP / c. 30-90USD)]

Bonuses:
Bi-semestral, individually worked out according to teacher's results

Accommodation:
Furnished, individual flats close to the school found by employer

Medical Cover:
State health insurance paid for by the school and administrative support when going to the doctor/dentist.

Work Permit:
Paid for by the school

Profi-Lingua was established in 1991 and at the moment has 16 branches : Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Warsaw, Szczecin, Gdansk, Gdynia, Kielce, Lodz, Lublin, Katowice, Sosnowiec, Zabrze, Gliwice, and Tychy .
The school concentrates on the teaching of languages with a heavy emphasis on speaking and conversational ability. It also prepares students for internationally recognised language exams.


All PROFI-LINGUA schools offer classes Monday to Friday beginning in the late afternoon and ending around 8.30/8.50 pm (and for some teachers Saturday 8.00 am and 2.30 pm). Each 80 minute class has a maximum of 15 students, usually under-graduates and young professionals aged between 18-35. Levels range from Beginner to Proficiency level, although the native-speakers usually teach only higher and Cambridge examination levels in partnership with a Polish teacher. Photocopying and audio-visual equipment is freely available and there is a teaching resources library in each branch.
