Wattsenglish is a UK registered limited company and is one of the leading organisations active in Central Europe concerned with young learner education. Wattsenglish continues to work with, and build strong relationships with a wide range of credible national and international organisations. These include the Oxford University Press, OMEP, the Vyzkumny ustav pedagogicky CZ, the NIDV Narodni institut pro další vzdelavani the association of pedogogical centred secondary schools CZ. Furthermore in 2006 Wattsenglish was asked by the Czech Ministry of Education to develop, write and publish the countries first methodological guide for the teaching of English to very young learners. The guide was very well received and has since been delivered to over 1000 kindergartens. Due to popular demand, a second print is currently under discussion. In relation to daily activities, the outsourcing of English teachers to kindergartens, the teaching and managing our own specialised language kindergartens, after school lessons and clubs, as well as regional events are all areas in which Wattsenglish continues to push the boundary of good teaching practice and enthuse young learners with the desire and motivation to communicate in a second language which can stay with them for life. In addition the company focuses on the continual development of teaching quality and standards through it's intensive training scheme. The Wattsenglish training programme (accredited by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport) enables teachers, and other interested parties, to understand the benefits of teaching in the target language, to be able to pull on a wealth of ideas and activities as well as to build confidence in working with rich and varied resources and materials for young learners. In working closely for the VUP, we are pleased to be able to offer training to not only our own Wattsenglish teachers, but state kindergarten and primary school teachers too.
