The TEFL Academy

I recently completed the Level 5 TEFL Diploma course. I found the 168-hour online course to be of a high standard, with well structured, informative lessons and an abundance of course material and resources.
The assignments are particularly challenging and require a high level of understanding and competence, which makes me confident that my qualification from TTA carries real weight and credibility. The whole experience from enrolment to receiving my certificate was seamless, and the communication was great. I highly recommend this institution!

Overall, I believe this is a valuable course. I completed the Level 5 TEFL course, and I feel confident about my future. The course content was very informative and covered all the bases. Within the assignments there were different age ranges and levels of English to prepare lessons for, which gives you insight on real-life scenarios.

One area I do feel could be improved is the CV and cover letter that is sent after completing the course. The structure feels a bit disorganized, and the content reads as if the course is still ongoing rather than completed.

My experience with the level 5 course with tefl was excellent. The course was full of genuine informational content and I felt that I learnt a lot throughout the course. It is a great curriculum and I would 100% recommend going with tefl.

I found the course interesting and comprehensive. It was interactive and informative and had a well balanced syllabus. The material was engaging and the chapters had a good flow. Working through the course was enjoyable and even though there was a lot of informative it felt very manageable.

What a pleasant experience. I just recently finished my TEFL level 5 course, and am truly glad I persevered until the end. It was slightly challenging, but extremely informative and I have learnt be a lot. My biggest shout out goes to the support teams who are always available to help and explain until you absolutely understand everything perfectly. Would recommends this course to anyone.

As a non native speaker, it was important for me to get this certification as a first step in my career as a teacher. I had already taught english for a year.
This training helped me a lot to find the proper resources.
I also realized that some of the exercices I would do are not the best fitted.

I recommend this training, it is at your own pace, you learn everyday new things.

I completed this course recently, I fell into a job just before completing the course, it was a dream of mine to work overseas and this helped me to achieve that dream.

My College English teacher suggested to gather the right set of teaching tools by taking the TEFL LEVEL 5 course. I did, I loved the course, the explanations were clear, and the abc assignment with the teachers’ feedback is a GEM.

I found the TEFL course to be an excellent experience overall – the lessons were clear, practical, and thoughtfully designed. What I appreciated the most were the extra resources provided: ready-to-use templates, sample materials, and downloadable content that will be incredibly helpful for future lesson planning. The platform is user-friendly and encourages independent learning. My only small critique would be the public discussion feature, which didn’t feel as useful or professional as the rest of the course.

The TEFL Academy offers an excellent, well structured Level 5 Diploma course, which covers everything a prospective teacher will likely need to learn, before embarking on their teaching career and adventure. The course units were very thorough, with plenty of additional resources provided. Assignments were (for someone like me studying teaching for the first time) reasonably intensive, and demanding, yet manageable and ultimately very rewarding, especially if you put the effort in, as I did. That effort is appropriately rewarded by the markers too.

I would have loved to have had more time actually practising teaching (I took the “Combined” course that featured an in person training day), but given the cost of the course, and other options they offer (such as observed online teaching), there is nothing to complain about.

A course well worth taking, that sets a solid foundation upon which to gain real world teaching experience, and potentially a career, if you enjoy teaching long term.

TEFL Academy was a stepping stone for me I am grateful for all that they have taught me and helping me in advance in my teaching Career. They tutors were helpful and supportive. Course was challenging yet helpful and valuable.

I’m honestly very satisfied with choosing The TEFL Academy out of all the options out there… The course was interesting, fun, and simple yet thorough enough that I felt like I was learning and getting good practice. I looked forward to doing each lesson, noted a lot of resources that they provided, and feel supported to be connected to a large community of fellow teachers. I honestly can’t think of anything that The TEFL Academy course lacked!

The TEFL Academy Level 5 course has shown me a new perspective on what is teaching a foreign language. It provides a vast amount of learning resources to help me in my EFL study. I find the assignment to be simple and, with the right amount of study, it can be very easy to do. They have a very good explanation about the different learning concepts in each lesson and provide interesting insights about teaching English. I believe that these techniques could be used for other foreign languages too. In my opinion, I would improve on providing a more profound feedback on my assignments even if you pass them. That way, the learner can have a better understanding on areas of improvement.

I want to thank the teachers who helped grade and provide feedback for me. I have just completed the level 5 diploma course. I have already been teaching for the last 4 years, but this has been a very enriching experience. Taking this course has greatly improved my teaching capabilities. Thanks to this course, I have walked out with a greater sense of accomplishment. I feel this will help me to advance in my profession. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to understand different teaching methods and how to cater more to the students’ needs. The program is flexible. I wish there had been more exercises to reinforce what I was learning. But overall, very well structured.

I just completed my TEFL certification with The TEFL Academy and I have not been happier! The curriculum had all the resources and requirements that a language teacher would need. TTA is very practical and to the point and has a lot of resources and suggests a lot of methodologies that can be really effective in the classroom. The difficulty level of the assignments were gradually becoming challenging, which is quite necessary to check the competency of language teachers. The feedback were also detailed.
One thing I really appreciate is the prompt responses that I was getting from the support team. They always made sure that all my doubts were addressed promptly. The dashboard also was user-friendly, and I could navigate through the entire curriculum easily.

I did not really have any expectations going into this course but I really am glad I decided to do it. It was challenging and stimulating and allowed me to learn so much more on what being a teacher consists of then what I thought. It opened my perspective in a lot of aspects and after completion, I was astonished just how much job opportunities there is and the help they provide with where to search for a job. This is the sort of experience you will gain with this course: you will learn how to assess yourself before you can assess your students, and then you will study implementations through practical assignments

I really liked how they managed to provide us with the best approaches to teaching english as a foreign languages. The list of resources for further improvement is endless and very entertaining. I am looking forward to what is coming next!

I personally chose the specific enrolment to the highest level – TEFL level 5 with an abc attachment feedback. I feel much more comfortable during my financial presentations at work, I use proficient vocabulary words, and feel very grateful to my English teacher’s support and suggestion to start and complete this teaching journey.

I have just completed the level 5 TEFL course and i would have to say that it was an amazing and very educational experience. I found that it was easy and very informative yet rewarding and insightful, i would recommend the course to anyone who maybe be interested. I feel that I learned more about not only teaching English as a secondary language, but about english as a whole. The course is comprehensive, and explanatory in a way that even the most advanced concepts are broken down into a format that can be understood by anyone.

The TEFL Academy provided everything one would need to get started on a career in teaching English. The course was affordable thanks to a promo pay period, provided plenty of time to complete (6 months), and offered a treasure trove of resources for students to dive into or save for later depending on their learning style. The three assessments were incredibly helpful for someone who had never before crafted lesson plans and classroom guides, let alone for different student levels. Ultimately, the course gave me confidence in my ability to lead a class, and I highly recommend those interested in teaching ESL (or teaching in general) to take the course.

I found the self study online course easy to follow and being self paced was also helpful because I had other responsibilities to attend to while I was completing the course. The self assessment tests also helped me identify parts of the chapter I hadn’t fully understood. The assignments were challenging and the feedback I got from them was very productive. All I need now is to apply the knowledge and gain experience.

When i first started my course, i was not sure which one Tefl i should do, but when i chose TEFL Academy i had no regrets! TEFL Academy was well organised which was a big relief for me personally. The course is easy to follow. I didn’t have any problems connecting, or with submitting. Everything was straight forward. The online course was fun, plenty resources and plenty of time to finish the course. I highly recommend doing this course

I did my course online and found it very easy to navigate the website and get in contact with student support my feedback on assignments was very good. I’m just looking now for work so far it’s not great but we will see.

A really good, all-around course. Very thorough and detailed. I like that it gave you so many options of teaching methods and the ability to choose what worked for your teaching style.

I also enjoyed the fact that there was so much emphasis on fun and games because I think that this really motivates students. There were also just so many options regarding what games to play. Along with lots of co-linked peer reviewed articles that provided evidence of their usefulness and significance.

Though, one of the only negatives that I can even think of is the sheer amount of information that precedes assignments. It was a bit daunting and overwhelming to look at all that information and not really have a clue about which bits of advice to do and which to leave out. Again, though, this may not be for everyone, but is just my own opinion.

I also sort of feel that feedback might have been a tad more detailed but know that sometimes it is just not possible due to the quantity of students involved.

Overall, I found this course to be very enjoyable and through. It gave me the skills to find confidence in my work and prepared me to feel competent for teaching.

I did the level 5 combined course. This course was really fun and informative. Their were many videos to aid you on assignments and the study material was not complicated. This was a good journey and I’m so glad I did this course.

Even though I have been teaching for years now, there have been moments when I feel lost. Especially when I worked for companies that had their standards, which can be too business-centric at times. This course validated some of the techniques that I have used in the past. I also learned about new things that made my teaching more productive and satisfied my students. I have kept the majority of the materials that they have cited in this certification, and I read them now and then. That is one of the best things about this course: everything is cited. I have been recommending this to the other teachers that I know.

I recently completed the Level 3 TEFL course and was thoroughly impressed with the structure and content. I was enrolled in and recently completed a Level 3 Certificate from the TEFL Academy course and was impressed by how well-structured, friendly, and professional the entire experience was.
I was new to the teaching field. The practical tests and assignments helped me apply the knowledge I was gaining. I found the assignments challenging in the best way to use the theory.

Bitesize chunks to help with learning, lots of resources woven in to each lesson for you to bookmark/save, a really great variety of small quizzes, tests, videos, and text that is written in plain English, all of the courses met my expectations and often exceeded them. Thank you TTA for putting together a great accredited course that makes teacher training extremely accessible in a variety of ways, and at a great price! The cost has definitely become an investment for me.
