I found this course really good. I’m entirely new in this area so I can say I learned a lot. As a suggestion, I think there should be more content on teaching on-line, which is my favorite area at the moment.

I completed the TEFL Academy Level 5 course and found it very useful. The materials were clear and well-organized, covering all the essential teaching methods. The assignments helped me understand how to plan lessons effectively. The online platform was easy to use, and I feel much more confident about teaching English now. The 168-hour Level 5 TEFL course was very well-structured and informative. It opened my eyes to how different teaching ESL students is compared to teaching native speakers. The assignment topics were appropriate and graded timeously; the assessors were very thorough in their feedback, which was great.

I was very impressed with The TEFL Academy’s Level 5 Teacher Training Course. In particular, the detailed and lengthy teaching of how to structure and plan lessons, with lesson plan practice in the assignments, together with teaching tips for activities and classroom management, has given me confidence that I can consistently produce great lessons in which my students genuinely learn English. All areas of language learning are covered in detail, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and speaking – everything is well taught. The pedagogy is fully modern, no teacher-student lecturing but student production and practice all the time, with student interest and engagement a priority. I am now fully prepared to start my first teaching job!

The Level 5 Diploma course I did was a beautiful experience from enquiry to registration and doing the actual course. I loved doing the course at my own pace and the flexibility of extending course time shows TEFL understands our circumstances.
The course is structured in such a way one can easily go through it without too much assistance. I also appreciated the resources available for use in class and for future use. This course made me appreciate English as language and how as a teacher I can teach all age groups using the knowledge and tools I acquired from this course.

In short, the TEFL Academy online course was all that I was hoping for and more. The quality, depth, and applicability of the lessons were unexpected and much appreciated. While learning how to teach students, I also learned quite a bit about the English language I have been using all my life. Each set of lessons steps one through the topic in a clear and understandable manner. The many useful weblinks will prove invaluable during future lesson planning. I especially enjoyed the instructional videos, though a few are a bit dated (mostly those examining older teaching techniques as part of understanding how we got to today’s proven methods). The exams are more than fair and helped me feel confident about being able to put together a solid lesson plan. I actually found the exams to be quite fun to do because they reinforce the process of creating a rigorous lesson plan – I certainly intend to use some of these plans in my future teaching. The feedback from the exam graders was absolutely amazing, it’s very obvious they read every bit of my assignment (even the long ones!) and gave specific, targeted, and genuinely valuable review and advice. I am very glad I chose this course and highly recommend it to all those looking to become a TEFL teacher!!

I took this course while pursuing a full time degree so that I could work part time while I study. I found this course to be easy to manage while studying and had great support from the academy.

This course is laid out really well and is easy to manage through the course work. The content is easy to absorb and easy to work through. The markers give good feedback on assignments and are very helpful. I did struggle with the time limit of the course but I am a full-time student so that was a factor.

I have recently completed a Level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language Course with the TEFL Academy and found it high-quality and very engaging. It included a range of activities and practices that strengthened what the teaching. I particularly enjoyed the assignments, as they allowed me to get feedback, and consequently feel more confident, about my abilities at lesson-planning. Overall, the program was enjoyable and had kickstarted my journey into TEFL!

I liked the TEFL Academy course because it was convenient and self-paced. I work a full-time job in higher education. So having the flexibility to work on the course after work and on the weekends worked out really well. The material is clear and support was always very responsive. While there’s only a few major assignments, you will have to read and put some effort into your assignments. But you will feel prepared and more confident when it’s time for you to step into the classroom.

As a newcomer to the field of English teaching, I needed to take my first step and build a strong foundation to pursue opportunities abroad. This course has helped me do exactly that. Many aspects of the program contributed to giving me the tools and confidence I needed to move forward.

A great course for those wanting to teach English as a foreign language, packed with useful classroom tips and a much-needed refresher for those who haven’t picked up their grammar books in ages!

I enjoyed learning at my own pace, although I feel that I would have finished up quicker with a live teacher online or offline – unfortunately this wasn’t an option for my timezone or area. Still, I enjoyed the activities and tests in each unit, and helpful/realistic scenarios and resources provided.

I would have liked to have continued access to the learning materials, but knowing that it was going to be inaccessible once the course ended, I saved the information I needed. I’m very glad that I did.

Having been in the corporate world as an accounts executive for many years, the decision to leave what I know for what I have always wanted to do was not taken lightly.
I was referred to TEFL by a teacher friend of mine, and what a journey it has been. I completed the 6-month course in 5 months, as time management is your responsibility. Guidance and feedback from TEFL was timeous and thorough.
Support such as job boards and online registrations for various platforms to apply on is readily available, but not to be confused as guaranteed.
