AVO Language & Examination Centre is authorised by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. The school has 35 years’ experience in teaching English and 22 years’ experience in running Cambridge CELTA & DELTA courses. It is centrally located in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria.
Our courses are run by consistent team of highly-qualified and experienced trainers, providing trainees with guidance, support and encouragement throughout the course.
Trainees on our courses get plenty of one-to-one help and individual attention as we provide a low trainee/tutor ratio (maximum of 4 trainees to 1 tutor).
AVO offers a real classroom experience: trainees do their teaching practice on-site (except for the fully online course) .

Course content
The Cambridge CELTA course at AVO Centre generally is a full-time intensive course which provides practical introduction to teaching English as a foreign language.
Based on our successful experience and entirely positive feedback from trainees and tutors in 2020 – 2024, we decided to run our CELTA courses in 2025 in online or blended format.
The course programme of 120 contact hours includes:
– Input sessions
– Supervised lesson planning
– Teaching practice
– Feedback on teaching practice
– Peer observation
– Observation of experienced teachers
– Tutorial support
