Our schools are a part of YHA Group, one of the biggest growing groups in the English 1 family, and the biggest in Sumatra. Our location provides an excellent gateway for exploring local cultures and natural wonders, as well as visiting nearby powerhouses such as Malaysia and Singapore.

- Batam – The heart of Kepulauan Riau, and within sight of Singapore & Malaysia
- Bengkulu – Home to one of the longest beaches in Asia, a traditional city on the West Coast of Sumatra
- Jambi – An inland city, on the road to Kerinci National Park, perfect for those seeking a more immersive experience
- Medan – The capital of Northern Sumatra, a melting pot of many ethnic groups, and Indonesia’s 3rd biggest city
What will you do?
- Teach English to children ages 3 to 18
- Teach a variety of our core classes with your regular students, and then more unique activities such as Life Clubs, school trips, and cultural events
- Maintain ongoing records, scores, and progress reports related to your classes
- Provide meaningful updates to parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings, and perform placement tests for new students.
- Continuous professional development through in-centre training, collaborating with other teachers, and learning through our online training system

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field
- Native level English speaker OR Non-native speaker with IELTS of 7.5 overall, with a minimum of 7.5 in the Speaking section/iBT TOEFL, with an overall score of 102 and a minimum of 25 in Speaking/Cambridge C1 Advanced – Minimum Grade B (score of 193)
- Teaching experience an advantage
- Clean background check
- Willing to commit to a 1-year contract
