Job Overview

Language academy located in Palma del Río, Spain is seeking TWO Native-level EFL Teachers to join our team for the coming school year (September 2026 – June 2027, renewable by mutual agreement). The successful candidates will be vocational teachers, enthusiastic and committed. Flexibility in schedule and ability to teach all ages and levels required.

We are a modern and well-established school which has seen constant growth. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to work as part of a team in a friendly work environment with ongoing support. Ideally, we are looking for teachers who can make a long-term commitment to the role.

The academy is an official Cambridge English Preparation Centre and Learning Partner and an official Aptis Exam Preparation Centre.

We are centrally located in a friendly town of 21,000 inhabitants and easy to access on foot. Palma del Río is in Andalucía and less than 45 minutes from Córdoba and Seville and connected to the cities via train and bus.

Responsibilities
• Teach Cambridge courses for young learners, teens and adults, from pre-A1 to C2
• Manage groups of 10-12 students maximum, classified according to age and level
• Teach English to a high standard, conducting lessons in English at all times.
• Organise lesson plans to successfully complete the given syllabuses.
• Execute lessons efficiently and effectively using different styles of teaching depending on the age and content.
• Engage students to ensure a lively and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, test results and weekly lesson plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments of students’ tests and assignments in a timely manner.
• Complete written students' evaluations at the end of each term.
• Attend regular monthly meetings as arranged by the Director of Studies.
• Read and understand the staff handbook and adhere to the policies therein.

Salary and benefits

CONTRACT DETAILS:
• 25 hours (Monday to Thursday, 16:00-21:15 with potentially some morning classes)

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
• EU citizenship, TIE or valid visa to work in Spain
• Must have a university degree in Education, English, Foreign Languages or Linguistics
• DELTA, CELTA or TEFL teaching certificate or equivalent
• Native-level English speaker level (C2 Cambridge)
• Working knowledge of Spanish
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience, preparing Cambridge exams as well as teaching teens and young learners
• Two recent references from previous teaching posts are required
