| What do I do? | 1 Divide students into pairs. 2 Ask pairs to divide the sentences into three groups. They can do this whichever way they think is best - see if they can remember the different forms. 3 Feedback as a class, highlighting the different conditional forms |

Put the following sentences into three groups, A, B and C 1 If I don’t call my parents, they’ll worry about me. 2 If I won the lottery, I’d buy everyone in the class a new car! 3 If I weren’t so busy, I’d play more sport. 4 If you’d caught the 8:00 bus, you wouldn’t have been late. 5 You can have some ice cream if you’re good. 6 I could have won if I hadn’t been so tired. 7 If you eat out tonight, where will you go? 8 If you had driven more slowly, you wouldn’t have got caught. 9 I’ll finish my book if it rains this weekend. 10 He could get a better job if he was more qualified. |
