Entry Requirements
A Higher Education qualification or evidence of a high level of study and communication skills and (if a non-native speaker) proficiency in both spoken and written English. All applicants are asked to complete a pre-entry written task. The minimum entry age is 21.
Course Details
This course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to teach a foreign language to adults either at a college or in a private capacity. Learning is through lectures, workshops, group/pair working and observation. There is also a teaching practice requirement. Seminars and tutorials will cover:
- Language awareness
- Learner profile
- Materials assignments
- Teaching skills
- Unknown language
Assessment
3 examinations, 7 assignments and assessed teaching.
Qualification
The Trinity College London Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language.
