DELTA
The English Language Centre at King's College is pleased to offer a part-time course leading to this prestigious postgraduate qualification for experienced teachers of ELT. The course lasts nine months and aims to extend trainees' practical and theoretical knowledge and skills. Candidates who perform well on the course and who wish to further expand their theoretical knowledge, will also be eligible for fast-track entry to the King's College part-time MA in ELT & Applied Linguistics. The King's College DELTA course is validated by Cambridge ESOL.
The DELTA course will run from September 2006 to May 2007. It will be held mainly on Tuesday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm with breaks for Christmas, Easter and two half terms. The DELTA written examination will be held on 6 June 2007.
The tuition fees for the 2006/2007 course are £1,000. There is also an examination fee charged by Cambridge ESOL (£219.07 in 2006). Candidates teaching outside the London area have to pay a supplement of £150 to cover the extra costs involved.
