INTESOL Greece offers:
1. INTESOL Certificate in TESOL and Teaching Practice Certificate courses.
The 4-week course and the hybrid course (combination of home study and two-week face-to face course in our centre in Crete) are fully accredited & certified to meet international standards. The training involves over eight hours of Observed Teaching Practice and 150 hours of classroom instruction. This course is designed in such a way that you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Through the experiential learning approach, "learning by doing" used in this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills that will allow you to confidently teach English to students of any level, age or cultural background. The way the course is conducted will actively engage you in practical and interactive activities that will make your learning fun in spite of the intensity of the course. The training you receive will provide you with a solid foundation & the skills necessary to teach English around the world. Our training centre prides itself on facilitating each student's learning of teaching based on the respect they have for your own individuality; they do not create carbon copies of teachers. The Trainers are highly qualified and have years of teaching and teacher training experience in different locations all over the world. The assessment is continuous during the course and there is no final examination.
The syllabus covers Basic Princiiples in TESOL, Classroom Management and Lesson Planning, Teaching the Four Skills, Teaching Grammar, vocabulary and Pronunciation, Using Visual Aids, Using Authentic Materials, Assessing Students' Progress, Cultural Issues in TESOL, etc.
Last but not least, the social program is a unique opportunity to combine learning teaching with learning about the culture of the local area.

All graduates receive a full, ongoing, lifetime job guidance service, and career development counselling, thus ensuring their short or long term TEFL future. The Centre's staff is committed to providing their students with the best assistance possible for as long as needed.
2. Introductory Certificate in TESOL (onsite 40-hour TESOL course for the ones who are not sure whether they want to pursue teaching English as a career)
3. INTESOL Certificate in TESOL (distance course; about 300 hours of home study)
4. Teaching Practice Certificate (minimum 10 hours of classroom observation and observed teaching practice in our centre in Chania)
5. Post Certificate courses (distance or onsite): a) Advanced Certificate in Teaching English for Specific Purposes; b) Advanced Certificate in Teaching Young Learners. These are also on a special offer if you book them with the 4-week onsite or hybrid TESOL Certificate course.
6. Diploma in Educational Studies in TESOL (distance course)

Highlights: Besides the high standards of training, our centre prides itself in providing our students with a fully equipped resource room (computers connected to the Internet, teaching materials, reference books, coursebooks, etc).

Our centre is located in the heart of Chania, so it is very close to the harbour, banks, shops, post office, etc.
The school is equipped with a kitchen, laundry facilities, a small library for those who want to spend their free time reading.
