Course details

The English & Methodology for TESOL Purposes (EMTP) program is administered and taught by The University of Queensland’s Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE-UQ) on The University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus.

The EMTP program is designed exclusively for primary, secondary or higher education level English language teachers from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds. The program enables teachers to enhance their own English language skills and to receive insights into creative and innovative methodology appropriate for teaching English to learners at beginner and post-beginner level. The program also introduces participants to new resources and materials appropriate for the EFL classroom context.

EMTP Course Dates and Fees
ICTE-UQ delivers a 3-week fixed date, mixed nationality EMTP program each year. Enrolment is open to individuals or small groups of TESOL teacher trainers and primary/secondary school, college and university English language teachers.

The EMTP program can also be delivered throughout the year as a customised group program for TESOL teacher trainers and primary/secondary school, college and university teachers of English.
