Job description
JOB DETAILS:
Internship teaching hours: 20 hours a week , this is combination of 1 to 1 home tutoring and classroom cover/substitute teaching (For classroom substitute teaching, the working hours is from 8am to 4:30 pm in a Kindergarten, Primary, Middle or High School which will be equivalent to 4 teaching hours (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon).
Working days: 5 days a week, 2 days off on weekdays.
ARRIVAL SUPPORT:
-Airport Pick-Up.
-Hotel accommodation for the first 3 days
-New Chinese SIM Card assistance.
-Escorted to your accommodation.
TRAINING AND PLACEMENT:
-Orientation and on-board training from our Shanghai team
-Attend training with our professional staff trainer in preparation for interviews and demos, which most schools will require.
-Provide continuous training and teaching tips throughout the internship program.
Salary and benefits
-Free shared accommodation throughout the program (Private room in a shared apartment)
-Interns shall receive a monthly living allowance of 3,000 to 5,000 CNY (based on assessment)
-2500CNY air ticket allowance will be provided upon completion of the internship
-Free tuition for mandarin Chinese language lesson (40 hours, 1 teacher: 2 students arrangement).
-HSK test cost will be covered (Chinese Language proficiency test HSK Level 1)
-Traveling opportunities in different cities in China when substituting, travel tickets, hotel and food allowance provided.
Requirements
-Native level English fluency
-No previous teaching experience necessary;
-In good health condition –duly filled up health checklist (checklist will be provided by Shanghai Meiji)
-Police certificate/Non-criminal record certificate
-TEFL 120 hours or TESOL certificate
-Friendly and adventurous!
-Passionate about teaching young learners.
-Patient and hardworking.
