The TEFL Academy

I am very pleased to have completed the Level 5 TEFL course through The TEFL Academy.
I was attracted to The TEFL Academy’s course over other providers due to the fair price, helpful customer service and the ability to complete the course at your own convenience rather than having scheduled lessons. This worked particularly well for me as I work shifts and wouldn’t be able to commit to a regular course.
The course content was very interesting, the assignments were challenging, but enjoyable and the tutors were helpful when I needed assistance.
I was happy that I didn’t have to wait long for the assignments to be marked and returned.
The course provided a good foundation to TEFL, but I do think that I now need some practical experience before teaching in a classroom.
Overall, I’m very happy with my learning experience with The TEFL Academy.

I enjoyed doing this course at my own pace while working full time. As someone new to teaching, I found the material on practical teaching skills very well structured, easy to access and very thorough. The coursework and assignments reinforced the core skills needed to teach. Now I’m looking forward to teaching part-time to acquire some experience.

I did the Level 5 TEFL course. In the beginning I was quite confused with the website, as I couldn’t find a clear view or instructions of where I should find my specific course, I would recommend making the access to the course work and units easier. Furthermore as I discovered everything I needed to on the website, it was very easy to use, no glitches or trouble with the website was shown. Each unit was well sorted with the different topics, but I did expect a bit more information on the language itself. Then again in some units I was surprised with the information and found it very interesting. I would recommend this course without a doubt, it is fun, well designed and totally worth the money.

It is a great course to learn teaching styles, tips and build confidence for adapting course materials to new classes. It is better suited to those that have a deep understanding of the English language rules and structures as that is expected when approaching the assignments.

The support from the tutors and administrative staff was exceptional – they responded to emails quickly and were very helpful.

The course content was comprehensive and provided good preparation to handle the tests and assignments successfully.

If I were to nit pick, I would say that some of the content within one or two of the lessons could be rearranged for better logical flow.

Overall, I was very happy with the course and consider it to be great value (especially for the price I paid when it was on sale). I would recommend this course to others who are considering getting a TEFL qualification.

I started off not sure what to expect and if I would be able to cope. The Online course provided progressive learning, moving from one unit to the next with excellent continuity, with one section transitioning seamlessly to the other. It was as if I had a personal tutor.

With no teaching experience or qualification, I feel that I am confident and ready to embark on a journey toward an ESL teaching career.

My overall experience has been amazing, the response that is given by the support team is unmatched they provide it with speed and were clear in answering all the questions and direction I needed if there is anyone I doubt about taking the course I would advise you just go for it the amount of stories that cover peoples journey on youtube and Instagram shows just how rewarding this course can be I’ll be sharing my story as soon as I land in my country of choice. I completed the level 5 168hr course and I must say it was not only much better value for money than competitor courses, but it was also great value. For the price you pay you receive detailed, flexible lessons and get to actually practice what you learn in tests and assignments. Would highly recommend.

I spent a lot of time researching the different TEFL courses and selected the TEFL Academy because I was the most impressed with their information. Since enrolling in the course I have been completely satisfied with every aspect of the course. It has been challenging but that has offered me great reassurance because I know I chose a course designed to help me become a complete TEFL teacher as opposed to a course wanting my money so they can give me a certificate. The assessment tasks were difficult but demanded that I display my learning and imagination. I would recommend the TEFL Academy to every single person serious about developing themselves as the best possible TEFL teacher.

Looking for a good TEFL course can be stressful, as so many promise or advertise certain things. But after finding the TEFL Academy, I haven’t looked back!
The courses are well laid out, there is a nice balance of visuals, text and videos (and LOVE the links for extra reading – they really help understand the work).

The assignments really test to ensure you paid attention, and opened my mind to really being creative for possible classroom activities in the future.

It would have been nice to have a downloadable PDF of the course (so I always have something to read through again) but taking my own notes was also nice because I could create notebooks that suit my style of learning and studying.

I am so excited to see where my TEFL course will take me!

The TEFL Academy gave me the tools and resources I needed to be a more well-rounded teacher. When I was researching TEFL certifications I saw that The TEFL Academy had tremendous reviews which gave me the assurance to go ahead and buy the course. This course is designed to cover everything you’re going to face as a teacher and even though I’m a native speaker it was not easy. It challenged me and gave me the confidence I needed to continue with my English teaching career.

I found the course really informative and interesting. A lot to read at times! Feedback from assignments was speedy, only a couple of days. I did the level 5, 168 hours which was challenging to complete in 6 months when working, so you need to be organised.

Completing my TEFL course with TTA was a wonderful experience! I struggled with Assignment B and my tutors got back to me very quickly, with friendly and helpful guidance. TTA truly is the best!

Even with a few bumps here and there completing my TEFL course through the TEFL Academy was honestly a great experience. I thank you for all the information, education and learning opportunities you have given me and the second and third chances to correct my mistakes.

The TEFL academy is an amazing platform to learn on. The courses provide you with all the information you coild possibly need to learn the basics of being a TEFL teacher. The company overall was very polite and professional in the communication realm, however due to the amount of user questions they need to get through, it can take a few days to answer your questions you send in, but they always give quality answers back in the end. The tutor feed back given is very detailed and beneficial to help along in your studies and with assignments. Overall it was a lovely experience studying with the TEFL academy, and having the qualification now has opened up to so many opportunities.

I found this course to be an excellent way to earn a certificate in my own time. The online lessons were engaging and interactive. The course provided many extra resources and extra classes. I am inspired and feel ready to teach.

I did the level 5 168hr online TEFL course, I had a great experience working through the coursework. The content was provided in a simplified manner, providing links for additional information if needed. The online aspect was easy to work through, there were videos and instructions which provided detailed explanations for what needed to be done. Templates and examples were also provided to consolidate an understanding of what was required. I did struggle with excelling in the assignments, however the feedback provided by my markers were insightful and highlighted areas that I needed to improve in. Queries that I had were answered with helpful feedback within a day. The TEFL Academy also provided a list of sites that could be used to apply for jobs (including international applications). All together I had a pleasant experience using the TEFL Academy.

This was surprisingly hard going but when you reach the end, you feel like you’ve genuinely achieved something.
I read on the website that some people have completed the course in two weeks. Well, if you work at it full time and only sleep for three hours a night, it might be possible.
Many will find the Grammar section the most demanding; especially if it’s been a while since you looked at grammar in an educational context.
The webinars are useful and I enjoyed the one day teaching practice module.

I am a 62 year young male. When I came across the TEFL ACADEMY COURSE I was very hesitant at first. The last time I had learnt any English was in 1977. So you can understand my apprehension. To my surprise I took to the course like a fish to water. I found all the modules were very well laid out , and very easy to follow , inclusive of all the additional references . My interest grew from module to module and I became eager to move ahead to the next module as soon as I finished the previous one. My brain was taxed , but I became energized and galvanized into doing the best I could . As a native English speaking citizen from South Africa , I can say with conviction that I believe I learnt more about the English Language through the TEFL ACADEMY COURSE than what I learnt in an English speaking school and throughout my entire adult life.

A pretty intense course that challenges our minds to do the very best version of ourselves.
Very good support, very educational with lots of practical explanations.
The tutors are really there for you, to hold your hands and advice you in your rough moments.
Even when you are demoralised by your marks, at one horn sign they’re jumping to help you stand out of the crowd. That they’ve done with me.

The TEFL course with TEFL Academy is one of the best experience. I actually found it to be interactive, well organized and practical. The assignments were very much in alignment with the course materials and it specifically stated with module to find extra information. I had a great experience with the TEFL course. I took the level 5 online course, and it was straightforward and easy to follow. There were so many extra links and extra information given to ensure that there was no misunderstanding. They also had templates for everything you would need: lesson plans, CV’s, cover pages, activities, etc. I also found the content very interesting and useful. I did personally struggle a little bit with the online aspect of the course as I learn better when listening to a teacher, but other than that, I really recommend this course to anyone who is interested in teaching English as a foreign language.

I took the online level 5 course at my own pace and it was super easy to follow. The information was laid out in an easy to follow format. The recommendations given from the TEFL instructors that grade our assignments were fair and useful tips for future use.

After combing through some of similar courses online, I found TEFL ACADEMY course to be more appealing. Cost of the course was affordable compared to others I saw.
The course outline and content from Unit to Unit were very educative and explanatory increasing my desire to learn more. The practical quizzes at the end of each unit served as a revision for what has been learnt in the unit.

Assignments were challenging but gave opportunity for more of an experience of practical teaching practice. The CV and cover letter guide preps you to put up a professional letter and cv.

I have fully enjoyed the course and upgraded my knowledge in the teaching of English as well as add to my current professional development.

The grammatical rules of English are quite challenging to me, even though I am a native speaker. Through the TEFL Academy’s interesting learning units, it offers sufficient theory, practice, and resources along with clear content that makes it easier for learners to understand the rules.

I was nervous to start my online course because I figured it would be difficult to navigate the course as a whole. But thankfully I had a friend who completed the same course years before me so I decided to go for it. And I’m glad I did because not only was it doable and informative, the support was clear and responses were quick. What I like about this TEFL provider is that they have discounts most times so you can be assured that you’ll be saving some bucks. I enjoyed my course with them and would definitely recommend it to others.

It was a wonderful experience to get my Qualifi Level 5 TEFL Certificate from THE TEFL ACADEMY. The teaching material is detailed and covers all the required aspects of teaching English from lesson planning to preparing learning materials. The support is also very good. They readily clear any and all kinds of doubts/questions you raise and you can pester them till you’re completely satisfied! Since I took the online course, there wasn’t any “instructor” however, the material is designed keeping that in mind and as I’ve mentioned earlier, they reply within hours with answers/solutions to your problem. The feedback system is very good and they give you a detailed explanation of where you’re going wrong and how you can improve on that. They also praise you when you’ve done good! Grading seemed a bit harsh, and the job search function is just limited to a page where they provide you links for third-party websites and a few resources for writing your cover letter and some help for your CV. Apart from these two things I loved the course! I would advise anyone interested to keep these two things in mind when they apply, otherwise the course is wonderful and enriching! I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Fantastic online course with modules and tutors who can be contacted via tickets and email. Thorough modules and assignments which enable you to complete them at your convenience within clear deadlines but alongside other commitments you might have.
Only reason I have not given a 10 is because when I paid for an extension, it did not happen right away and I needed to chase it up.

I took the Level 3 TEFL Course as part of my pre-retirement planning. I found the course a little challenging, bearing in mind that I have not been in a training situation for quite some time, but the training was easy to comprehend. I would recommend this course, or the Level 5 TEFL, to anyone thinking of breaking into international English teaching.

I recently completed Level 5 TEFL online Course. I would have to say that I was absolutely so happy with how comprehensive this course was. I didn’t realise how much we take for granted with language when we are just speaking naturally. I feel that the education this course gives is very practical and is set out in a way that has benefited me greatly in my new teaching journey. I love the flexibility of being able to do this course online especially with COVID being such a risk these days. Some subjects can be a little complex, I also would have loved the opportunity to zoom in person with a teacher at a couple of intervals just to brainstorm. So if your timezone suits take up the offer for the virtual lessons too.

The course was engaging and efficient. I’ve learnt many new tips and tricks that will help me for years to come.

I’ll be honest. Being a native English speaker, I thought I’d fly through this course with ease. I didn’t! The course is very in-depth and prepares you well for your role as a teacher. The course at first seems a little expensive, especially considering all the ‘Groupon’ type TEFL courses which can be picked up for next to nothing. Well don’t be fooled, they’re not worth the paper they’re printed on. You get what you pay for with this course. There is a good reason why it’s rated amongst the best TEFL courses out there, and why the certificate is so widely recognised and well accredited, both in the UK and USA. If you want a TEFL qualification and are willing to put in the work, don’t sell yourself short by doing one that won’t be recognised in the real world. Go with The TEFL Academy.

My experience with the TEFL Academy was a very pleasant one. I was never left confused or ever had the any inconveniences. The course material was effective and efficient, with realistic and practical scenarios. It was flexible, allowing me to work within the very spaced out time frame.

I thought the course was very well laid out, with a logical, easy to follow structure. The course felt very professional; the same as it would through a physical education centre. I found the assignments a little challenging but in a good way as it shows you if you would be ready for the job.

I needed to take this course in order to gain some sort of experience in teaching English. Obviously it wasn’t a real experience because everything was online and at my own pace and time. I thought that the information provided in each lesson were very useful but a lot of the information were not very specific but broad. There wasn’t a lot of real life situations that would have been helpful to get a better understanding of how teaching English is really like. I thought that the amount of information provided was a lot but it was a lot of information that could be useful on the job. I would recommend the Level 5 course online for people with very busy schedules or for people who like to learn at their own pace.
