Online ESL Teacher

Job description

- The classes: We are looking for North American Online ESL teachers for 45 minute English language group classes. Each class normally has 4 students grouped by age and level
- The curriculum: US Common core aligned lesson material, customised for Chinese students
- The timing: Teachers can select a class time from a list of potential assignments that may run for 140 weeks on average (Peak teaching times are Monday-Friday 6.00-9.00PM Beijing Standard Time)
- Teach from your own home

Salary and benefits

- Base rate of $18 per 45 minute class, plus bonuses and incentives
- $100 sign up bonus for new teachers launched on or before December 12th with 40 or 10 group class slots per week

Requirements

- North American Native English speaker
- BA degree or currently enrolled as an education major in a university
- At least 1 year of experience in teaching or tutoring
- Experience in the US or Canadian education systems
- Teaching licence and certificates preferred (CELTA, Cert TESOL, Delta, DipTESOL, state ESL endorsement, MA TESOL)
- Committed to teaching group classes at least 10 hours a week for 10 weeks, including weekends
- PC with strong internet connection, webcam and noise cancelling headset
