The school is a K-12 independent co-ed school in the UK with 345 years history.
It is widely recognised by national accolades and has outstanding academic records, while placing equal prominence on arts, sports and offers rich and extensive extra-curricular program.

The School has been awarded the rating ‘Exceptional’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in 2016, being the first co-ed day school to achieve this ultimate rating. It has been crowned School of the Year in the prestigious Tatler Schools Award in 2020. In 2020, the school achieved 70% A*-A in GCSE exams and 75% A*-As in A-level. Over the past 4 years, more than 20% students have been admitted to Ox-bridge, and 100% students pursue further studies at top 20 universities in UK.

It has expanded its operations in China over the past few years and is looking to open a secondary school section in Shenzhen.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join the Shenzhen teaching team.

Position: Teacher
Subjects: Mathematics, Arts (Drama/ Music/ Dance), History, Chemistry/Biology, English, Business/ Economics
Student age group: 14-18 years old (IGCSE – A-levels)

• Teaching based on the School’s curriculum and integrating other learning objectives and activities
• Develop lesson plans, adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs, and utilize effective teaching techniques to achieve a productive and efficient student learning experience
• Devise techniques to measure student progress. Evaluate and track records for student's academic and personal growth, and prepare regular reports
• Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss academic and personal progress
• Communicate and cooperate with other professional staff in academic and personal growth areas
• Utilize computers and other technological classroom support equipment in teaching
• Maintain classroom organization and discipline
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a sound and
functional learning atmosphere
• Provide and maintain a safe and supervised environment in the classroom and on the school grounds

Other responsibilities
• Create an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays,
bulletin boards, and student centers
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees and sponsorship of student activities
• Maintain professional competency through education activities provided by the
School, and through self-selected professional development activities
• Perform other job duties as required


Salary and benefits


- £30-35,000 per year
• Airfare allowance, accommodations, relocation allowance

You MUST have:

• Bachelor's Degree or above, Master’s Degree preferred
• At least 2-year A-levels teaching experience
• Ability to offer a variety of high quality after-school/ extra-curricular activities
• Strong passion and commitment in education, teaching, and students
• English as an Additional Language/TESOL teaching certification or similar
• Specialized in immersive or bilingual English language acquisition preferred
• A respectful listener, effective communicator and experience in coaching
• Willingness to participate in boarding duties preferred
