Our school is now recruiting qualified English teachers to be a part of our close-knit community of professional teachers. Teach primary school students aged between 7-12 years old. We are committed to providing our students the most advanced international curriculum. With full support from the Chinese government, we also offer government required subjects as Chinese, Civic Education, Geography and History. Our team currently consists of 50 foreign teachers and 150 local teachers with around 1500 students and growing.

The international curriculum we provide in our school is completely in English. All courses use textbooks in English except their Mandarin textbook. Through the introduction of American-style learning methods and full English immersion, we are preparing our young learners to gradually adjust when they enter international universities after they graduate. The school not only focuses on academics, we also educate our students to develop integrity and further enhance their intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills and international perspectives.

English teachers are responsible for teaching Arts and Humanities courses which include but are not limited to English Composition, English Literature and History. Depending on the students’ interests, there are additional opportunities to teach them additional courses such as Contemporary American Music, Drama and Psychology. Our teams of teachers collaborate to develop engaging curriculum which uses a variety of visual aids, textbooks and creative projects.

Teach English in Shanghai

Known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’, Shanghai is truly an international metropolis in every sense of the word. The most vibrant and progressive city in China, Shanghai is the economic and cultural center, blending an incredible mix of Eastern and Western culture. On one side of the mighty Yangtze River flowing through Shanghai is the Pu Dong district, rural farm land just 20 years ago, it is now the financial and commercial hub with skyscrapers stretching ever higher. Along the western bank of the river, the iconic Bund is a reminder of Shanghai’s colonial past featuring grand European architecture.

For those who like to shop, party and eat, Shanghai has all you could possibly want and more. But despite its cosmopolitan reputation, pockets of quaint tradition remain alive and well, dotted throughout the city. Explore countless old markets, back streets crammed with local eateries and discover incense filled temples still central to the locals’ daily life.
Main Responsibilities

-Maximum of 14 teaching hours per week
-40-hour work week including teaching hours
-10 month contract with option to renew
-Lesson planning
-Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
-Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
-Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, exams, etc.)
-Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
-Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
-Collaborate with other teachers, parents and administration and participate in regular meetings
-Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities
-Observe and understand students’ behavior and educational needs
-Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, etc.

Salary and benefits

-Excellent salary: 24,000 RMB per month (this includes either 7,000 RMB monthly housing allowance or a new, fully equipped apartment)
-Performance-based annual bonus: 37,050 RMB (approx. 5,300 USD) provided at the end of the year
-Performance based bonus up to 25% of salary for the first semester
-Round-trip airfare reimbursement up to 14,000 RMB provided after contract completion
-Transportation to and from campus by shuttle
-Legal Z-work visa provided
-Health insurance provided (100% cover for local hospitals)
-Summer orientation subsidy of 1,000 RMB
-Computer subsidy of 2,000 RMB
-Contract renewal bonus 13% of previous salary
-10 days national holidays plus winter break
-Two meals provided per day during working days


-Bachelor’s degree
-TEFL certificate required (at least 120 hours) (No TEFL? – We recommend INTESOL)
-Native English speaker from USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand
-2 years previous teaching experience required
-Culturally aware and excellent work ethics
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
