Job description

VIPKid is an online ESL teaching platform where you can teach 25 minute ESL classes to kids in China. They provide everything for you, you just show up and teach.

You teach 1 student at a time in VIPKid's online classroom. They provide the lessons and you just show up, teach, provide feedback. Classes are 25 minutes long and you have a 5 minute break before your next class.

You create your own schedule. There are no minimum hours / week. Available hours are: Monday - Sunday: 8:30am-10pm Beijing Time, peak hours: 7-9pm Monday - Friday.

Salary and benefits

Starting Base Pay: $7 - $9 /class (25 minutes), plus $2 bonus / hour for showing up on time and teaching more than 45 classes in 1 month.

Average starting salary : $20/hour


• Eligible to work in the US/Canada
• University 4 year degree
• 1+ year working with children (any capacity)
• TESOL certification (VIPKid provides this to you for free before signing your contract if you don't have one)

• Certification Mock (choose a Level and do a 10 min LIVE demo - you can't fail this part, you redo if you don't pass)
