Job title

EFL Teacher

Job description

We are a team in a modern holistic school looking for an English teacher with a responsible attitude ready to transmit a positive caring view and with a very communicative approach.

Our candidates should have a CELTA or equivalent plus a degree, a very professional attitude and 1-year` experience teaching young learners and teenagers in groups. They must take into account that our teachers should be able to deliver enjoyable lively lessons, be ready to prepare our students for Cambridge exams, from Key English Test (A2) up to Advanced Level (C1) and teach students ranging from 3-year-olds to adults of all levels in classes with a maximum of 10 students.

The teaching will mostly take place in the classroom, but online teaching will be needed in the event of a move to online classes as a result of Covid-19, and hybrid teaching will be required while students are under quarantine and must connect from home.

Paid in-house training is given to go over school policy, class management and teaching method. Help with accommodation and a great opportunity to learn or practise Spanish is also provided.

Great working atmosphere and the possibility of staying with us during July courses and the next academic year in well-equipped air-conditioned classrooms each with a computer, internet access, an interactive whiteboard, projector and all material necessary for the development of classes.

Our teaching contract starts on 16th September and finishes on 30th June, and teachers are required to be ready to hold our paid induction sessions starting one week before the beginning of the teaching period. A full-time position is offered and working hours range from 22 to 25 weekly contact hours from Monday to Friday (Friday will only have a 2 to 3-hour timetable). All teachers should spend the rest of the time stated in the contract on exams corrections, reports setting, meetings when necessary and class planning.

Lucena is a town in the centre of Andalusia, from where you can easily go on trips to the main cities in the area such as Malaga, Seville, Granada or Cordoba during weekends, and most importantly with "very low cost of living". If you enjoy a quiet, town-like life, nice country walks and lively pubs and restaurants in the evening, this is a lovely opportunity!
