Job description

A well-established language centre in Beijing is looking for ESL teachers to teach English Language and Intensive Reading and Writing classes, as well as library coaches to handle all aspects of library reading program, including students' initial assessments, guiding students through the library "flow" – book selecting, independent reading, online testing, after reading interviewing, book reports guiding and scoring, as well as running library classes.

The working hours generally fall between 9:00 to 18:00 or 13:00-20:30, 5 working days a week including weekends. Each week you have 20 teaching hours and 20 office hours to prepare your classes. All teachers get two days off during the week. The class is kept at a small size of around 8 students. Students are 6-18 years old.

Salary and benefits

16K – 24K RMB monthly, based on experience

• 5 paid leave days plus 11 national holidays every year
• 6000 RMB annual flight allowance after fulfilling one year’s contract

Requirements

Teachers must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Native English speaker (visa requirement)
• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• 120-hour TEFL certificate. You can apply without the TEFL certificate; however, you will be required to obtain one before you can make a Chinese visa application
