ELACP (English Language and Culture Programme) are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, co-operative and creative English Language teachers for our English Summer School/camp in Istanbul, Turkey. The camp is based in the Beykoz forest on the outskirts of Istanbul, approx 1.5 hours from Istanbul airport.

This is ideal for a working holiday. It might be perfect for newly qualified language teachers or gap experience. All teaching materials and lesson plans are provided and induction is given at the Centre, but there is room also for improvisation. We teach international students at all levels, aged 7-21, mainly from Eastern Europe. A big part of the programme is the drama workshop, where students learn and perform scenes from an English classic.

Applicants should be fluent in spoken and written English. He/she should have good general knowledge about life in the UK and be familiar with aspects of traditional/modern English culture and current affairs. The person should appreciate being around students of various ages. He/she should be tolerant, approachable and sociable.

Salary and benefits

• Salary 200 euro per week (30 hours)
• Free accommodation and full board (3 meals per day in the restaurant)
• Comfortable hotel accommodation in a twin or triple room


• English teaching certificate (CELTA, TESOL, TEFL etc.)
• Fluency in English
• Good standard of education
• Teaching experience
• Eligibility to work in the EU
