Job description

Teatime English is a small, friendly academy on the outskirts of Gijon, a coastal city in Northern Spain.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and creative teacher who has a passion for teaching to all ages and levels.

Most of our students are between 3 and 14 years old, geared towards Cambridge examinations starting at PET level

Our language school is situated in a growing residential area and we foresee further growth in the coming years, so it's an ideal opportunity for a longer term post.

We are offering a contract from September 2019 to June 2020 with social security health coverage according to Spanish law.

Contract hours will be a minimum of 16 per week in the afternoon/evening, Mon -Thur, depending on timetable requirements. There is the possibility for additional hours doing activity based learning or running other courses.

Paid holidays: 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter and several days during the local, regional and national holidays.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated proactive Native English teacher, or C2 certified near native with knowledge of Spanish to speak to parents etc.

Relevant qualifications such as a Tefl/Celta and experience would be ideal but not essential.

Experience of preparing students for Cambridge exams is a plus as some of our courses lead towards a recognised Cambridge Examination.
