Job description

Part time (11 hours weekly) position available at Cambridge Exam preparation school in Barcelona.

Uptown English is a small school in Horta, Barcelona, a quiet neighbourhood just outside of the city centre which is very well connected by metro and bus lines.

The job is from January 7th 2019 until the end of June with the possibility of summer work and continuing with us for the 2019-2020 course and beyond. We are ideally looking for professional teachers who are settled living in Barcelona and are looking to stay here long term.

The school has a friendly welcoming atmosphere which comes from working in a small, enthusiastic team of excellent teachers. Teachers are provided detailed course guides and overviews to help them with lesson planning. Teachers also have experienced mentors to help with lesson planning, classroom management and the teacher's professional development as well as ensuring that lessons are fun, dynamic and engaging for students.

All classrooms in the academy have versatile interactive whiteboards, high speed fibre optic internet connection and all teachers have access to our bank of materials as well as subscriptions to websites which can be used for resource and game creation.

Salary and benefits

15,50 per hour

Requirements

• Legal right to work in the EU
• CELTA
• 2 years teaching experience
• University degree
