Chongqing is one of the fastest growing cities in the world with a really vibrant nightlife and a unique southwestern Chinese culture. It is quite quirky for a Chinese city as it lies at a crossroads on the Yangtze river and was built on lots of different hills. The city never gets that cold (never below zero celcius) and is roasting during the summer.
To fulfil this role, you need at least a university degree (Chinese working visa requirement) in any subject and preferably some previous teaching experience – although this is not essential. A TEFL qualification is desirable but not essential.
You will be required to work from Monday to Friday and have around 4 classes a day, each lasting 30 minutes. The working day will start at 8am and finish at 5:30pm with a 2.5 hour break for lunch. When not teaching, you need to play with the kids and do some class prep.
We are specifically looking for native speaking teachers from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand.
• University degree
• Experience and a TEFL certificate preferable but not essential.
