I have to teach using the Callan Method but have no training in this whatsoever. I’m at the end of the book and need to test my students, but I have no idea exactly how. I’m assuming it’s the grammar questions, do I question them and have them respond as they would in a normal lesson? And is that the entire lesson? The test? There’s also another section or Questions and answers.

I’m at a complete loss. There’s no information about this in anything I’ve been given. Please help!

What level are they? Couldn’t you give them an equivalent test, maybe with questions harvested from KET or PET practice tests or whatever? Don’t you have a Director of Studies? Actually, I suppose if there was someone with some initiative or sense of responsibility they wouldn’t be giving terribly outdated and inedaquate teaching material to untrained teachers and leaving them to get on with it. But that’s the world of Callan for you. Good luck.
