Just noticed that your post is 2 months old, but for others in the same situation:

There is every chance that they will offer you the post right there and then – I have just been offered a position in just this way. The usual procedure would be for them to then send you a contract, you to read the contract, and THEN agree to do the job (or not). So by all means say ‘yes’ on the spot, but subject to reading the contract and whatever other research you need to undertake.

Not enough information can be conveyed in a telephone conversation to inform you of all the ins and outs of working for the company in question. You need to sit down and read the small print – after all, agreeing to spend a significant period of your life in another country is a major decision. What about insurance, paid holidays, work visas, sick pay, who pays for flights, are the hours flexible etc etc etc. Try to talk to others who’ve worked there as well – the contract, after all, only includes the ‘official’ information.
