For conditional type 1 practice, try a chain story with teenagers. Give them a sentence to start, e.g. \"If I go shopping this weekend, I will buy a DVD\".
The first student then makes a new sentence using the second half of yours:
\"If I buy a DVD, I will buy Mission Impossible 3\".
The next student takes it up from there:
\"If I buy Mission Impossible 3, I will watch it at the weekend\".
And so on:
\"If I watch it at the weekend, I won’t go to the beach\"
\"If I don’t go to the beach, I won’t see my friends\"
With imaginative teenagers, this usually works well. Keep going for a fixed amount of time, or until you’ve been round the class 5 times, for example.
