Does anyone currently teach in Libya or had experience of this? Myself and friend are studying TEFL Premier (weekend course, Grammar module and Online course worth 80 hours). We are keen to work in Libya but do we have a chance without doing CELTA an little teaching experience?

I would advise contacting some schools directly and asking them about their requirements. Have a look here for a list of schools in Libya.

One teacher with experience in Libya states here that you need to be well-qualified and well-experienced, but it is certainly worth contacting some schools – requirements can vary considerably.

It’s late now but, my own experience is that yes, you do need to be well-qualified! Without a job offer, degree (minimum) and professional qualifications, you won’t get a visa.
