    Hi,

I’m a TEFL certified English teacher with 1 1/2 years experience teaching in Chile.
I’d like to teach somewhere different next year and would like to know whether anyone has had experience teaching in Argentina. Specifically, what is the political climate like? Is it safe? What institutes do you recommend? When is the best time of year to arrive there and do you have to apply for jobs in person as opposed to making initial contact online? I visited Buenos Aires for a week this year and loved it but was a little concerned about the political climate.

    Thanks for helping me.

And some more useful information here: http://icalweb.com/wiki/index.php?title=Argentina

Argentina is pretty safe now (or as safe as most other places are these days) and the bottom line is that to begin with you’ll be there as a foreigner for a year’s contract. Which puts you in a fairly safe position!
