Sunshine is a Language School looking for native English speaking foreigners who would like to teach English in Brazil, providing work opportunities, either to earn money or volunteer in social projects while traveling.

We offer a course that is divided into two parts: Online and Practical (20 hours / R$ 250,00 each). Although the two complement each other, you are able to sign up only for one of them, or complete the entire 40 hours package.

A Certificate will be presented to each student who completes the course successfully.

Upon completion of both courses we will link you with our partner language schools and assist you in finding a teaching position in Brazil. There are many positions currently waiting to be filled!

Once you have completed the courses you will feel confident and comfortable both applying for teaching opportunities around the world and entering the classroom for your first day of class.

We also help you to find accomodation here in Rio !!!

Teaching English in Brazil is easier than most think. Really, the biggest qualification is beaing a native English speaker. I am here in Brazil teaching English, and it is a bit different than other jobs. I arrived with no job and found different jobs as I went a long. It can be tricky in the beginning, but if you are flexible then you can make it work. The experience is amazing.
I found a good website that provides some tips. The website is:
    http://teachingenglishinbrazil.googlepages.com

You can read about two guys’ experience teaching there, and if you want more information, they created a guide in pdf format that you can buy. It helps a lot. Even if you do not want to buy the guide, their website provides a lot of good tips. Good luck!

This is good to hear, because that’s exactly what I intend to do when I have the money. I’ve read on a couple of pages that you can just move out there and find a job quite easily.

Any other advice is always welcomed, especially once I actually go out there and start to panic =)

Have a look at the Brazil jobs page of this site, or you could try contacting some schools directly – there’s a list on this site at http://www.eslbase.com/schools/brazil
