Just wanted some advice about possibilities for short-term summer teaching contracts in China or Thailand. I have a TEFL qualification and am halfway through my English degree at the moment. Is it likely that I will get a job/visa without a degree? Are there many 3 month/4 month contracts around? Also, does anybody have any experiences in China and Thailand that they could share with me – particular schools to contact/avoid – advice for female travellers etc
Thankyou so much

There is some very good advice about teaching in China here, and in Thailand here.
A couple of the jobs currently advertised for Thailand are for contracts from May to September, and there are a couple of summer camp positions advertised for China, so there is certainly short term work available. If you don’t have any luck with these particular schools, it might be worth contacting some schools directly (have a look here for a list in China, and here for Thailand). This could be quite time-consuming given the number of schools, but might pay off.
