At B2 level they should be familiary with most of the standard rules for forming different types of clause and sentence. So I think it’s a question of knowing what kind of composition they need to write, looking at what are some of the typical stylistic, grammatical and lexical features of that, and then practising them. It’s difficult to be more specific without knowing exactly what you need them to write…
