Hello everyone! I was looking at a job advert which seems a bit too good to be true so was going to email for more info, but the only contact information is a mobile number…. Seems a bit suss to me!

So, has anyone heard of any scams involving working in Siberia? The company that handles it is Charles Abroad; but again, not info about the company comes up through Google. It seems the only way to contact them is by actually applying for the job.

Any help anyone could give me would be great. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest continuing to apply for jobs with other companies/schools but also going on with this application. The only proviso is that IF they ask for money (for any reason) then walk away; it may well be legit but you can never tell.

    jmima73 ,

Had a face2face interview for a job with Charles Abroad in August this year in the UK. The guy who searches for staff is a marketing guy for a school in Cambridge, earning comission from the outfit in Russia & helping out the school owner in Russia get reasonable staff.

The posts in Tyumen & Nizhnevartovsk, from what I was told, sounded like border towns full of hard-drinking oilfield support staff from all over CIS and beyond. The basic package include flat, flights – was told that teachers there get round using taxis. Got the impression that you’d have to put in the hours there (overtime when needed-weekends?) and would be teaching maninly corporate clients.

Reckon it sounds like a great job for a young buck.

Am sure you’ve already got work by now jmima73

    Has anyone worked there?
