Many of the positions I have applied for seem to of been posted by recruitment agencies. On the one hand they say they will post my cv etc to a number of schools which can improve the chances of landing a job. However who pays for the service and how much?

Reply To: Recruitment agency’s? Any good or stay clear?
It is `Stay Clear` for us. You can post your CV to schools yourself. You can Post your info on any number of web-sites. On http://www.tefl.com we can pay to receive the email address after reading the CV online. In my opinion the cost is fair but check the date of your posting and update your CV. I believe there is no charge to the person posting but check for yourself.
Edit: `update CV`

Both. In the first place recruitment agencies are not there to give us a job. Their purpose is to select which among the applicant deserve to get a job. So you need to show what you got and gain their trust that you are the best among the applicants.
