    Hi all,

New to the forum and I wanted to ask some advice from those of you with experience of teaching specifically in China (or anywhere else is this situation has applied to you)

I have began a contract to teach in China but due to Coronavirus have been unable to travel there as of yet. In the meantime, my school have stated that myself and others in my position are to begin teaching our classes online – and are to teach a full timetable starting at 8am.

However, due to my timezone this would mean starting teaching at 1/2am most mornings and continuing until 5, then teaching more in the afternoon. I have tried to get through to my school that this is not feasible for me but does anyone have any advice about how to get round this? Has anyone been in this situation before? I simply am not able to provide lessons at these times from my home.

Did they tell you about this before you accepted the contract, or only afterwards?
