    Hi All,
I am an English teacher and I find myself in an awkward position regarding my first experience in China.
I’m not in China yet but will be flying soon.
The truth is I am negotiating with two schools and things have gotten ugly with one of them.
Both schools gave me invitation letter, so I applied to Embassy using one of those invitations.
I haven’t signed any contract with neither of those schools yet, but the school whose invitation letter I used for visa, started changing all the conditions that were offered to me at first. She told me reimbursement for flight will be only 3000 rmb instead of what my flight would actually cost (around 8000rmb- I am located in South America). On WeChat interview she said only 23 hours of teaching, no office hours and then the contract says 40.
Anyway, this was my number one option, I really liked the offer but when things started changing, I decided to go with the other offer, even though I made every effort to negotiate.
When I communicated this to the school, my contact there hasn’t responded very well. She replied “I will write to Chinese embassy to cancel my invitation then” and “I will report to my border about the Visa, because it is from my company”. I mean, is this even possible for her to do that?
I find myself in a very awkward position and don’t know what to do. Feels like the school representative whose offer I was about to decline, wants to put me against the wall and threat me, which doesn’t make me want to work with them at this point. Or are they right to take this position and I can´t see it?
    Your feedback means a lot.
Thanks so much for your time and feedback.
