Hi and welcome to the forum. Have a look here to get you started – some sound words of advice for Italy from other teachers.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi, there

I was asking myself the same questions. I want to teach in southern Italy, though (thinking Amalfi Coast– i know, maybe wishful thinking) but i did find out that there are public school programs that pay well. They are funded by the EU, so the money is good (60 euro/hr) if you get the contract. I am going through the list of PON schools in the province of Salerno that I downloaded at http://www.teach-english-in-italy.net. I hope to get my CV out to at least 5 of them before they start publicly posting the jobs. (First come first serve, right.. well, at least I’ll give it a try)

    Good luck! :D
