I am currently employed and working full time in Thailand.
A private language school in Spain wants me to fly there for an interview, paying my own flight costs through an agent which will later be reimbursed.

I have checked out their website, their recommended travel agent has found flights….which have a 12 hr stopover……… and I have constantly emailed the school to check if they know how much it will cost, how far it is and get prompt replies.

Apart from the fact that it really is logistically impossible for me to fly there for the interview, it seems legitimate. I have read various reports on review websites about the school, so I know it does exist.

Have compared the cost of their recommended travel agent against online flights? I’ve heard of some schools recommending an agent and splitting the profit.

But all in all it sounds a bit excessive to me. It may well be legit but to travel half way round the world for an interview is pretty unusual. Can’t it be done by Skype?
