How to use "prefer …to…"

    Hi there,
    Did a search but did not find anything on the usage of "prefer…to".

    Need help on using "prefer …to " in connecting 2 sentences.

    Q1. Jaron likes movies on scientific exploration. Jaron likes movies on space and adventures more.
    Which answer/s is/are correct?
    A1: Jaron prefers movies on space and advenctures to scrientific exploration.
    A2: Jaron prefers movies on space and advenctures to movies on scrientific exploration.
    A3: Jaron prefers movies on space and advenctures to those on scrientific exploration.

    Q2. James does not like the article on finance more than the sports.
    A1: James prefers the article on sports to finance.
    A2: James prefers the article on sports to the article on finance.
    A3: James prefers the article on sports to that on finance.
    A4: James prefers the article on sports to the one on finance.

    3. I like reading the comins. I like reading the home news even more.
    A1. I prefer reading the home news to the comics.
    A2. I prefer reading the home news to reading the comics.

    A3: Jaron prefers movies on space and advenctures to those on scrientific exploration.

    All 3 are correct.

    Q2. James does not like the article on finance more than the sports.
    A1: James prefers the article on sports to finance.
    A2: James prefers the article on sports to the article on finance.
    A3: James prefers the article on sports to that on finance.
    A4: James prefers the article on sports to the one on finance.

    2, 3 and 4 are correct. 4 sounds better than 3 in this context.

    3. I like reading the comins. I like reading the home news even more.
    A1. I prefer reading the home news to the comics.
    A2. I prefer reading the home news to reading the comics.

    Both are correct.
