I am a newbie, still taking my online course & am now taking my final exam, part of which includes creating a lessin plan.
The setting is a group of 10 students who are 8-10 years old. I am tasked to create a one hour lesson involving family vocabulary.
I wish i would have not taken an online course, as i am inundated with MOUNDS of seemingly abstract course information that i have no real time reference point to. I am using a PPP structure & an having a little trouble understanding what is an appropriate practice & what is an appropriate production activity.
I have the idea for a Family Tree which seems to be a popular strategy for introducing basic family vocab to beginners, but from there i am not sure what is a good practice & production activity. And for how long each section lasts.
There is so much conflicting info online and in the course, a worksheet is good, no a lively activity or game is good etc.
Could anyone be so kind as to help me outline a simple and effective series of activities for a lesson plan & timings for each section? I go to China at the end of next month & will do better in the hands on environment, but rigjt now just need to pass the course and get certified. I am a little worried about passing the test sine as said before feel bogged down with so much abstract info i learned. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
