Hello!
What should a 35 minute preschool EFL class look like?
My school is focused on speech production. My students can parrot the language structures covered each week as written in the curriculum: "It is a dog." "My name is Banu." Etc. Not sure that I consider that acquiring the language and being able to communicate naturally.
Or, at this age, is this the correct approach? Since mimicking is so natural for them, is this effective?
I feel like they are young and definitely their ability to acquire English is at 12 different levels-there are 12 different students in each of my 6 classes.
I have heard of TPRS for older students.
What do I do with 4 and 5 year olds?
Thank you,
Cindy
