Which course books do you recommend for basic to intermediate learners?

Am new to TEFL and will be shortly starting a new job in the UK. The college has asked me to choose a course book for the learners? Can anyone recommend materials please? Don’t know where to start! Thank you so much.

Has the college given you any information about the learners? Level? Class size? Objectives and needs? This information will help you to choose a book.
