Hey!! I’d really appreciate anyone’s advice. I’ve been researching companies that offer upskilling with while you’re working with them but haven’t had much luck.
I know Ila Vietnam and the British Council do but other than that?
I’m CELTA qualified. I taught in Europe for 2 years and I’m now in Japan for the last year and I really want to progress as a teacher.

Also, what is the norm for tefl teachers. Do most teachers do extra qualifications in their free time?
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi eilish

To answer your question about the "norm" – it depends on the motivations of the individual teacher. There are many teachers for whom English teaching is primarily a means to travel the world – the majority of these teachers would probably stick with an initial qualification because it serves their purpose. For those teachers who start to think of TEFL as a longer term career option, a further qualificatin starts to appeal.

A lot of International House schools (http://ihworld.com/) offer the chance to take the Delta (and maybe other courses, I’m not sure) while working for them.

Thanks! Yes I meant the norm for teachers who are looking at TEFL as a more serious career option.
