I’ve been in China three years and my Chinese ability is quite poor. It’s an excuse but my free time is rather limited. I prefer to relax at the end of my days rather than study.

Most school’s will ask you to only speak English, which is fine. Some classes I have to mix in Chinese because the children are so naughty that something has to be said to control them.

What is your Chinese ability and how much do you use it in the classroom?
Also how many hours do you work a month?

On a sidenote my g/f is always complaining other foreigners can speak more than me and once and for all I would like to see some truth.
