In reading through the postings, I haven’t come across my situation and would like some advice. I’m a university prof (BS/MA in bilingual ed/TESOL; PhD in languages/literacy) who does TESOL teacher education, but I am considering looking for an EFL teaching position abroad in the future. I am willing to complete a certificate program if it would make me more marketable, but I currently teach courses like the ones offered in the cert programs I’ve looked at so I’m not sure what to do in terms of credentials. Also, I’ve read that European schools only hire those with EU passports. True?

You don’t need to take a TESOL course with your qualifications and experience teaching TESOL courses
