I am moving to Brussels and considering doing a TEFL course of some sort. Does anyone know if there is much teaching work available in Brussels for new teachers and which type of course would be most appropriate? Ideally I would like to do a non-residential four week course in Brussels but I don’t think there are such courses. Would an online 100 hour course give me enough to get me a job without any teaching experience or are there volunteer opportunities available/necessary to get a foot in the door. Any advice or ideas on where I could get information on the above would be VERY appreciated!

    Thanks

There appears to be quite a lot of work in Belgium due to the international nature of Brussels – home to the EU and all that. There are many, many foreigners in the country wanting to learn English and a fairly high turnover of teachers by all accounts.
