Here’s some more info about the activity:

Aim To practise modal verbs.
Activity Students order words to make sentences, inserting a modal verb from the board.
Organisation Pair work
Preparation Make enough copies of the activity for the number of pairs in your class.
Cut up the sentences into individual words.
What do I do?
  1. Put the cut up sentences on tables around the room.
  2. Write the missing modal verbs on the board: have to, must, don’t have to.
  3. Pairs move from table to table constructing and writing down the sentences and inserting one of the modal verbs from the board in the correct form.
  4. Students take turns to write the sentences on the board. Other students correct if necessary.
