We are now holding interviews for qualified English teachers to teach at our kindergartens and primary, middle and high schools in the vibrant cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuhan and other major cities in China. Communicating with parents to provide feedback periodically will also be one of the responsibilities.

Teachers will work on a Monday to Friday schedule with evenings & weekends off plus long summer & winter vacations to explore the country and beyond.

The Locations
Interviews are being held for teaching positions in over 30 major cities across China. Teach along the vibrant east coast of China in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Suzhou for example or head west to Chongqing, Chengdu or Xi’an or even up north to the Inner Mongolian cities of Baotou or Hohhot. The choice is yours, we will send you detailed job descriptions, city information and compensation packages once we receive your application.

Teach English in Beijing
Beijing, capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the nation’s political, economic, cultural, educational and international trade and communication center. Located in northern China, Beijing continues to be an exciting place for all things music, fashion and art with plenty of events and shows to attend.

Teach English in Shanghai
Known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’, Shanghai is truly an international metropolis in every sense of the word. The most vibrant and progressive city in China, Shanghai is the economic and cultural center, blending an incredible mix of Eastern and Western culture. For those who like to shop, party and eat, Shanghai has all you could possibly want and more. But despite its cosmopolitan reputation, pockets of quaint tradition remain alive and well, dotted throughout the city.

Teach English in Shenzhen
Shenzhen is located in the southern portion of the Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong, located just south of Shenzhen, Shenzhen’s location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. Shenzhen is considered as one of the richest cities in the country which offers foreigners a great insight into contemporary China. From a small fishing village 30 years ago, Shenzhen has turned into a city filled with dynamic energy and on its way to becoming a world class metropolis.

Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 25 teaching hours per week with weekends off
-Student age: 3 to 18 (depending on type of school)
-Class size: 20 to 30 students
-Deliver our English language curriculum
-Incorporate creative and interactive teaching strategies to engage children in the learning process
-Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
-Attend meetings and training sessions as required
-Ensure that all teaching materials and resources are up-to-date, organized and accessible

Requirements

Requirements
-Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland & South Africa
-Bachelor’s degree or above required
-TEFL, CELTA, teaching license certificate (No TEFL? We recommend INTESOL – www.goldstarteachers.com/intesol)
-Previous teaching experience with young learners preferred but not required as full training provided
-Cultural sensitivity, awareness, and willingness to explore other cultures
